lasat night angel updated his mod pack and i become an error message:
cycle in technology tree detected
steel-processing
-> basic-chemistry-2
-> water-treatment-2
-> slag-processing-1
-> steel-processsing
I try to load only my mods without seablock without an error, and only base mod with seablock and the minimum required mods with the same error.
Getting the same error.
Thanks for reporting this, yes I'm aware of it. You'll need to either revert Angel's mods back to the previous version or wait until Sea Block is updated next. I'm working on it but can't promise when the new version will be out.
Thank you @KiwiHawk. Confirmed, downgrading Angels' Refining, Smelting, Petrochem, and Bioprocessing to the 6M old versions worked for me.
I have downgraded the Angel's mods that got recently updater and now when I turn on the Seablocks mod it give me a new error:
Cycle in technology tree detected
basic-automation
-> electricity
-> sct-lab-t1
-> sct-automation-science-pack
-> basic-automation
I have reviewed all the recent updates and the mod was also clashing with Angel's Addons - Storage Options, so I've downgraded that mod too but it still haven't fixed it. Don't believe its related to Bob's mods cause they are at least a month old from the previous update.

Does it work if you remove AAI Industry? To get you going for now.
Also, A Sea Block Config mod has been deprecated and should be removed.
Edit: Ignore me. AAI is disabled. I'll have a try tonight to reproduce the error.
It seems that if I enable the mods one by one and reload the game every time, the game does not give me the error, but if I enable all at the same time and reload the game once it will give me the error, which does not make sense.
I've tried looking on the code lines and I couldn't find issues to give that error.
a short time ago i have the same issue but not with seablock. the culprit whas an difference between librarys. maybe its the same for you here.
Hey KiwiHawk, i just wanted to say "Thank you" for the countless hours of fun you are giving to all of us by contributing this amazing mod! Being a developer myself, i truly appreciate the work you are doing! That being said, i wanted to ask if there is any update on this tech-tree-cycle-bug without sounding completely ungrateful :D i hope i was successful...

Glad you're enjoying it π First I have to check, you know you don't have to wait for it to be fixed to play Sea Block right? Just need to revert Angel's mods. Correct versions are listed on the forum post.
The holdup in getting a new version out is nothing to do with the tech tree cycle issue. I've long since had that fixed.
Because the Angel's update had such a wide reaching effect, there's a lot of processes that need rebalancing or tweaking to make them work in Sea Block. I don't want to put out a pack version that feels rushed and imbalanced.
Yeah i know i could revert back, but the changes in Angel's is kind of the reason why i wanted to play SeaBlock again. But i will then simply wait patiently. Taking your time to do things properly is probably one of the reasons why SeaBlock is so well balanced. Thanks for coming back to me!
When I am looking for beta testers, I'll post about it on Discord.
Thanks for all the work you do to make this conversion work well.
Hello, its now about 2 months since the first post. Is to see when the next version will come?
It's up.
thank you for your hard work
