Those new to Angel/Bob are likely to have issues with the huge chain leading up to making the first plates. My suggestion is to include an inefficient iron plate from slag recipe, possibly hand-craft only, to get players started until they can figure out the sulfur loop.
In addition this suggestion can also go the other way if you want to, since there is a source of iron plates you may not need as many pre-made machines, so can allow the mod to be harder with you starting with less things.
