The vanilla rocket launcher has already had its range increased to 36. I find that at this range plus the powerful firing speed boosts you get in just the first few ranks of research, it becomes very much usable. It's still garbage without firing speed research but I think that's just a scaling issue. The mod doesn't seem to be needed anymore.
