The screenshot in the GitHub thread pretty much shows the problem. Realistic Ores are modifying the ore but after that Muluna does its own changes, probably reverting the textures in the process. I'm not sure why it does that. Maybe that are not exactly the vanilla textures. (Or maybe the Alien Biomes do that but it doesn't seem so. I've installed them and it seems fine.) Unfortunately, I cannot test this because I don't have Space Exploration yet and I cannot find this in the source code of Muluna.
If this is what happens, you can try to change the mod loading order by opening "info.json" in RealisticOres.zip and adding an entry "? planet-muluna" to the list of dependencies. This should make Realistic Ores load after Muluna.
