I think that this mod should just add the interface as a combinator.
But...but...the interface is a combinator already. It just has a custom name.
As a standalone, not as an integrated part.
You don't need to build a combinator to connect a belt, chest, station, signal or inserter to the circuit network, so I don't see why you should need one to connect a reactor.
This is fair, but I would like to point out that Crafting Combinator does something very similar with assembling machines.
