Looks like I will be answering my own question...
The other mod has 1) combat mech armor (a slight improvment over the vanillia mech, but it requires nuclear fuel and pollutes)
2) adds a couple "special" walls, such as acid proof wall, electric proof wall, etc.
3) adds a mk2 repair capsule
Other than that, seemingly exactly the same. In fact, when I installed this mod and loaded a Save game, all my legendary Rampant gun/beam turrets from the other mod were still there. I guess that might not be so surprising.
