An update for 0.18?
Actually I do have a few things:
I've noticed that the game doesn't recognize the different types of belts as the same thing, meaning it doesn't attempt to connect a regular with a > or with a >> of the same tier, allowing you to nest far more belts around. I'm not sure how this looks at the technical side but an option to allow for additional, identical in length but not able to connect tiers of belt for even more salad could be fun.

If possible fix the upgrade planner not seeing the extended belts. When I have a Yellow>> underground belt and drag the upgrade planner over it, it'll replace it with a red regular underground belt.

And why not include a silly, late game fun option that's just an underground belt with an absurd length and speed to match? Can even be separate from the blue line. "Acceleration tunnel" for instance.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying to figure out point one and will look at the other two.

I'd like an option in the ModSettings to adjust the length and price. basically i want massive like size 50 undergrounds with a price to match.

The above was before i "used" the mod.

-I'd also like the option to, when I pick a pipe or belt back up, to get the raw resource back instead. maybe i built a medium, but realized too late that I really wanted a long.

yes i like what this mod does, i just wish for those two things.

-Get resources back when I pick up because I need something different.
-More tiers or customizable lengths/cost because I want massive sizes sometimes like 200 long.

ever figure this out? hoping you can add this to pipes as well.

option to disable some belts. For example disable all x3 ones, if user want to use only x2 ones,
or disable all belts, if user install mod for the pipes.

Just like we can't connect yellow and red belts in the stock, the same way we can't connect yellow stock and yellow x2 — they are different.
to fix this confusion you can change color of grey lines on the belts in between of yellow/red/blue color to be more white or more black, this way user can differentiate belts.

add a version for Space Explorations space underground belt and the later avaible deep space underground belts.
Logistics-4 undergound belts could also need longer versions

I have updated the mod to make the range/cost a mod setting and made it 2.0 and space age compatible. I have not added a turbo belt yet, however.

This is possible but I think it's a all or nothing. Either you get back the base resources or you get back the belt. Base resource would be handy as you could just craft what you want, but if you just misplaced something it would be a bother to have to craft it again when you break it.

Any thoughts everyone else? I could make it a mod setting too I suppose.

No Pipe Touching basically makes the pipes in this mod unable to function
While I prefer this mod over the other for many reasons (clean pipe layout mmmm), it'd still be preferable if I could use both at the same time
I hope it's not too much to ask to make extended range compatible with No Pipe Touching, it'd be great to have both working on a single save

Love the mod, it's now one of my must-haves (my factory would literally break if I stopped using it)

I'll look at that mod and see what I can do.

Ok I looked at no pipe touching.. That mod modifies all the fluid boxes in the game and that's why my pipes won't connect to anything. I believe to be compatible with my mod they would need to add compatibility on their end.

I suggest changing the recipe costs for the long variants.
Instead of using the vanilla parts as ingredients, i would like combining two mediums to get one long variant.

It makes nothing cheaper, costs stay the same, but it gives an additional reason to craft the medium variant. i personally tend to ignore the mdeium versions and always get the long ones.

Thanks for the quick response, I'll open a thread on the no pipe touching modpage so they can hopefully fix the clash

Also, I'd like to add that I agree with General Venator.

Interesting idea. I'm not opposed to changing the recipe to require the mediums. When I use them, I usually use the smallest underground I can that will get the job done, sometimes it's the basic sometimes, the medium, sometimes the long. But if you are at a point where cost doesn't matter, then yeah I can see switching mostly to just basic and long.

Maybe I should make it a setting so you can have it either way. I'll look at it soon.

Another suggestion: Can you add Versions of the new green Turbo belt?
