My ticket on github got flagged as a bug and "completed" then the issue was just closed:

Just wanted to know why, as i need especially water barrels for alot of things in the game related to animal care, and the barrel pump has no recipe for me. It has worked in the past and i have not changed any of my mods.
Maybe that it got mixed up with a similar problem that DeeMaskiert_TTV reported here about crafting the barrels. But i can craft the barrels but i can't use them.

Also you should open a ko-fi account or something so we can chip in and help you keep this alive, i can understand that it's a headache maintaining this.
