That's an interesting thought about allowing the same type of fluid mining. So far, I think only one additional ore is acid besides the base uranium. Mostly I implemented the size parameter to chop up those tough to mine ores. At the lowest setting they'll only hit 25% of the chunks. Pair that with low frequency and it's probably pretty playable.
I'll look into Py. I've never played that one but I've seen footage and I know it's intense. : )
