Could you make it work with portable roboports please?

I imagine that would be very disruptive. Walking by a ore field and suddenly your bots go picking up ore and filling your inventory! It's possible, but it's a lot of work for what I think would be a poor experience.

The work involved isn't really in making it happen so much as adding additional settings to control this behavior.

Ahh I didn't think about late game. I was thinking of start game when starting with bots and not using pickaxe xD

Could always make it a 1x1 module to enable the feature. I know there's a mod that does that with items on the ground, and several do it with belt-immunity.

@AshenSwift: which mods are these?
@Mylon: would it be possible to add an option, or two, for enabling/disabling the feature for robots in base roboports and for player-carried robots?

A setting per ore would be a next step i guess, if still needed/wanted by then..
