Science difficulty is increased massively for each tier of science. You will be looking at megabase scale production just to launch a single rocket. Good luck!

The red circuit cost of modular armor seemed a little too steep for military science. I wanted the difficulty curve to sort of mirror the original science difficulty curve, just to a much more extreme degree. If I used modular armor then military science would be far harder to make than blue science, and it would make playing this mod with biters near impossible.
A good number of them, that's why I included the cliff explosives in the recipe, so that you need some basic oil processing to get it going. However, the jump up to chemical science requires you to massively scale that oil production.
