After installing the mod, the Factorio game gets stuck in an infinite loading loop at 9% and doesn't progress... then I go to the task manager and it shows that it's using 99% of my 16GB of RAM. When I remove the mod, everything goes back to normal... Is anyone else experiencing this? Or is it just me? I don't get any error messages as if a mod is causing a conflict.

what version are you using ? I don't think I publish a version with that bug. That shouldn't be possible I create new mining drills after the loop so it shouldn't do that. Even if you have a lot of mining drill in your mods it should be infinite. And I don't think this mod consume lot of ram since I use same sprites than normal mining drill, ram usage should be minimal.
