you can use the mod "I, Robot" to look like those compilatrons, and the mining bots will look like clones of yourself :-)
this should also work with other mods that change your looks (not tested, eg minime, engineer girl, etc)

All the character-switching mods are getting something of an update so that they can work together and let you individually pick which one you're using, so that might not work anymore.

Anyway, you'd probably want to base that on the original mining drones mod by Klonan, since Compy feels more like engineer capability than great big mining truck capability.
