Metal and Stars adds its own, separate fluid that happens to be named exactly the same, and override's this mod's recipe so that it takes 10 each of Light Oil and Solid Fuel again, and only outputs 10 units of the Fluid - a massive difference.
Unless I'm mistaken, if you add Metal and Stars as an Optional Dependency, it should force the game to load that first and then let your mod win that conflict, so you may be able to fix it without needing to actually change anything.
