So, I made something, and it turned out much bigger than I expected. It was mainly intended for myself, but maybe someone else will like it too. I hope it works well, though I know almost nothing about programming. Let me know if you have any issues, and I'll see what I can do.
I don’t like the recycling loops required to get quality products—it feels like a chore to me, and it's the same everywhere. Another thing I don’t really like is that there’s no real use for wood and fish. So, I started making small changes, and it kept growing.
Quality Adjustments:
- Iron, copper, coal, plastic, and stone are fairly easy to obtain in vanilla.
- Tungsten – I use the mod More Asteroid Resources, Forked, which allows me to extract tungsten from asteroids. This mod also increases the amount of tungsten available.
- Holmium – Same as tungsten. This mod changes the recipe for holmium plates, now requiring holmium ore as well. I can convert holmium solution and quality holmium ore into quality plates. I may need to tweak this since it feels too easy.
- Biter and pentapod eggs – Introduces a recipe for cloning. Once you obtain a quality egg, you can clone it. The process requires wood processing for ethanol, ammonia from Aquilo, and bioflux. These ingredients are used to create biosolution, which allows egg cloning.
- Carbon fiber – The recipe has been changed. Now, you need viscose and carbon. Viscose is liquid made from wood chips or from Yumako and bioflux. Quality carbon can be therefore used to get quality carbon fiber.
- Bioflux – Can now be produced from biosolution.
- Uranium – I use the Gleba Uranium mod, this mod slightly alters the recipe. Instead of sulfuric acid, you now need sulfur. This allows quality sulfur to be converted into quality uranium.
Wood Processing:
- Wood can be processed into wood chips. Chips and fish can be converted into bioflux on Nauvis.
- Chips can also be processed into ethanol and viscose.
- Viscose is used in carbon fiber production and can also be converted into plastic bars. It’s actually possible to produce a lot of plastic from wood, potentially replacing the original recipe.
- Viscose is also made from yumako. Recipe for plastic from viscose replaces the original Gleba recipe. It adds an extra step but yields more plastic from the same amount of Yumako and bioflux.
- Ethanol can be used to produce biosolution, but it can also be converted into solid fuel (in small amounts) or ethanol fuel. Ethanol fuel is slightly better than rocket fuel and only requires ethanol and iron plates, making it easy to produce in quality.
- Wood can also be converted into carbon.
It is alpha version, I will maybe make some changes in the future.
