2x2 lamps that cast a wide, soft glow: an electric lamp that is signal compatible, a copper lamp that burns solid fuel, and a floor lamp panel that can be walked over.

Hi ultrajohn, only bug fixes, but you could always copy the mod and make an add-on or something, source code is available.

Thanks, I would do that, but this mod already takes care of this problem for me, which works for vanilla and this mod automatically :)

You could add this as an optional dependency if you like, which would help other people discover it.

The only other thing would be to reduce the mining time slightly for the lamps, since it's a bit annoying, but I don't feel like forking it for that reason alone, so I'll let that up to you to consider it a bug or not.

Thanks for the follow-up!

The longer mining time is by design — the lamps in this mod are physically “larger” than the vanilla ones, so I wanted that to be reflected in how long it takes to pick them up. That said, I get that it can feel a bit annoying when you just want to move things around quickly. If there’s enough interest, I could look into making the mining time adjustable through a startup setting in a future update, so players can choose between “vanilla speed” and “bigger lamp = longer mining.” Or I might just set it to 0.1s like normal lamps if that ends up being the general preference.

For the color option: I’ll leave that to add-ons like the one you linked. Larger Lamps 2.0 itself is in bug-fix-only mode, so I’m not planning to add new feature toggles directly. Having it as an optional dependency is a good idea though, since it helps people discover compatible mods more easily.

Will think about it. And if so when i have the time in my life.
