This mod allows automatically tracking a random train in map view to act as a screensaver. When the train arrives at the LTN depot, a new one is chosen when a delivery is created.
Would be interesting if the mod monitored player activity and automatically switched to screensaver mode after X minutes.
Also would like if I could set the zoom distance for screensaver mode, I've zoomed out the camera but it seems to reset when switching to the next train.
I currently don't have time to add features to the mod, sorry. For now you can check trainsaver mod and try using it with it's afk screensaver.
As for zoom, I can't reproduce the problem. Zoom level doesn't change for me when switching from train to train. Can you provide a save or steps to reproduce?
