The game can only run faster if your PC has the power.
The more you built, the more computing power is required.
With larger maps it is also possible that not even 1x speed is possible.

now my start game runs with 260FP Sand 3200 UPS, this is 53x ;-)
but in Endgame this is 120FPS and 120 UPS, so only 2x can be achieved. with my CPU.
