Earlier (1.x) was no problems with modded parts.

but 3rd party mod compatibility has low prio, because the effort involved in testing is greater. i have to be able to reproduce the error first

This part crafts ok, by hand, no crashes, no logs(?) just not crafting by command from your mod. It is not a big problem :)
