i ideas new weapons and research

gun and bullet upgrades

  1. make range upgrade for gun turrets (1-6 with 0.5 increase for a total of 21 range)
  2. make range upgrade for bullets (1-6 with 0.5 increase for a total of 27 range)
  3. make bullet velocity upgrade (1-6 with 20% increase in bullet speed, NOT shooting speed, for a total of 100% bullet speed)

these upgrades are very late game and require level 7 projectile damage upgrade
also the cost is very high and scaling from 500 science packs per upgrade level (3000 for the last upgrade)

Laser turrets

make Laser turrets fire pulses or 3 burst shots
If pulse then 1 shots per second base
if burst then 0.5 shot per second with 3 quick bursts
DPS should stay the same
give it a nice pew pew sound (could be the pre 0.17 laser sound)

Turret awareness
give all turrets an awareness area (like worms) of 30 range so they deploy when enmies are on sight and not when enemies are in range, because they can not use their full range because of the time to retrace the gun

ideas for a new turret

Railgun turret

uses special railgun ammo
1 ammo with 1 clip size (cost 5 steel, 10 plastic, 1 uranium 238, 20 seconds production cycle)
0.2 shots per second (1 shot per 5 seconds) can not be increased with upgrades
12 MW power consumption per shot, 96 kw idle consumption
range 40
damage type 25% physical 25% explosion 50% laser
150 base damage (scales with bullet AND laser upgrades, but only gets 50% of the damage from both)
AOE line damage of 1 tile, explosion on impact with 2 tiles AOE radius

the shot has a chance to miss the main target

oh and one thing i forgot, make the bullet trail in the color of the ammo type. maybe even a nice green glow for uranium ammo
