A mod to remove Space Exploration space research requirements from certain things. Intended for Krastorio 2 + SE.

Access to space, and especially the more involved space sciences, functionally requires you to have already thoroughly dominated the biter threat. For me, this meant that by the time I could create things like missile turrets, I didn't need them anymore. My Nauvis base was unassailable and I wasn't required to deal with biters on other planets for the most part.

These tweaks are meant to make vanilla artillery and K2 turrets (with the exception of laser artillery) available in the time before you have access to space, when they're actually most valuable. Additionally, logistics system research (i.e. requester chest) is also pushed back, as requester chests are very important to scalable combat logistics.

Each change can be enabled/disabled individually. They are all enabled by default.

The options are as follows:
Remove space science requirements from artillery research.
Remove space science requirements from Krastorio2 railgun turret research.
Remove space science requirements from Krastorio2 rocket turret, as well as changing heavy girder back to steel in the recipe.
Remove space science requirements from the "logistic system" research.
