To be honest I just don't know how. I made these mods years ago and it was my first ever time modding any game at all. Back then I asked around how to do such a thing and nobody had an answer.
Atleast back then, specifically tinting a sprite seemed to be impossible, though that may be different now.
If you know of a way to actually do such things, let me know though. :)
Edit: I figured out how to tint the sprites, but the tinting function is very weird and I've yet to create a nice enough looking base sprite to tint. Its very hard to explain :(
