I think glass could benefit from having more uses than being such a niche item.
one thing that feels fitting is to replace landfills in bioreactors with like 10 glass. the main cost of bioreactors should be setting up the logistics of their food, not spending a quarter of a stone vein on landfills. and using glass to make the mostly-glass buildings just seems fitting

it also feels like it could be used in all science packs

Adding it as science pack recipe like glass flasks would be cool.

I could add glass to science pack recipes as an option but I think I want to find a satisfying way to make renewable stone on Gleba first.

It could also cause issues for space science and increase the amount of importing required to make cryogenic science

For the time being I consider the science packs to be an abstraction rather than actual glass bottles, in a similar way to how the sand item comes bagged just because having loose piles of stuff on belts looks weird.

one thing that might work is adding a way to make glass that isnt really glass but is to the same effect, like polymerizing jelly with sulphuric acid or making fluoropolymers or polycarbonate on aquilio and in space
