Have you tried Making A Pull Request for the original Ghost Scanner mod by Optera rather then making a second forked mod? If that get's merged everyone who uses the orignal mod could benifit from the performance improvments rather then having download a different mod.
there was a comment on the original one that asked for changes and even if done by PR, author said they won't do any big changes due to time needed for testing.
