Scanning trains every 15 ticks looks to me like a bit of an overkill. Wouldn't it be sufficient to hook on the "train arrives a station" event? At least this is how the fat controller does it, if I am not mistaken.
What makes you think that? I scan the trains every 300 ticks. It would be possible to do the query not every 5s but maybe every 30s.
