I can think of a couple other mods this mod should be made to work with, mainly:

Factorio, Directed by Michael Bay

for good refinery type explosions, perhaps using some different color when the contents explode, as some chemicals burn blue and green and other colors... those explosions could be what catches other constructions on fire...

I know that lots of RL fuel storage places, space out their tanks significantly, so if one catches fire, it reduces the chance of it spreading to others... perhaps have burning liquid on the ground, following the contour map, additionally spreading the carnage :)

fire spreading along the pipes (particularly the underground ones) should be limited for the most part, tho some of the contents will accelerate it as they may not need external oxygen to continue burning...

so much realism can be had with Bob's mods and other liquid/gas types...

seriously, there is SOOOOO much room to go gloriously overboard on this mod, and you should definitely go overboard with this, as industrial fires tend to like to do themselves. :D

edit: OHH... and pollution... massive massive amounts of pollution, so while you're trying to deal with the fire, you're going to have to expect to be under attack very soon as well as pollution is literally out of control.
