Caused by having more than 20 signals on the control wire in whitelist mode/filter wire in blacklist mode as far as I can tell.

Damn, I literally just came here to post this same bug but you beat me to it! Have tried looking through the source and couldn't see any quick fixes but hopefully the mod author will know.
