im playing with a modpack that has makes it so you have to play the entire game inside of these factory buildings. Since the roofs have no windows there is no sunlight but that means no solar panels work, including the personal solar panels in equipment grids.

My suggestion is:
-a setting in the mods settings to enable glass roofs, with either a reduced effectiveness of solar panels
and/or,
- a setting that enables glass roofs where solar effectiveness drops per recursion of factory building

reason:
1) funny
2) with the extreme cost of both the research and building, utilizing solar within the factory building instead of clearing out space needed for traditional solar setups with cliff explosives and nest clearing, the option is somewhat fair
3) being an optional setting makes the feature something players can choose to allow rather than being a core function of the mod
