It's not possible to find out from playing alone that the arrow under the factory inside's power station thing can be rotated with "r", or that you should do that when producing power in the factory. This should be stated in the power station thing's description, the arrow description, just the same as the factory description should state 'r' shows/hides the factory entrances.
It should most definitely be designed to be used without googling...
