I am receiving this crash error when placing a medium sized factory. I can provide the full log and save if needed.
"Error while running event Factorissimo2::on_built_entity (ID 6)
Factorissimo2/control.lua:329: attempt to call field 'freeze_daytime' (a boolean value)"

For me as well, though I had the problem with MK1 factories, not MK2.

I think it might be for a factory placed for the first time, rather than a specific factory size.
