Update version game 0.18 pls

Here is temporary workaround:
- Get file switch-quickbar.png from factorio 0.17 distr
- Go to factorio mods dir and unpack FNEI mod
- Place switch-quickbar.png to "Graphics" dir of unpacked mod
- open prototypes\settings_styles.lua in your favourite text editor and replace all 4 strings "core/graphics/switch-quickbar.png" to "FNEI/graphics/switch-quickbar.png"
- open info.json in moddir and correct "factorio_version" to 0.18

I did not do deep tests, but game starts and mod works

I'm also making a conspicuous point of visibly commenting whenever and wherever I see someone posting a request or a demand for a mod author to "hurry" or "finally" update a mod to match a base game version update. It's tacky, it's rude, some game communities actually consider that a mute-bannable offense on the first offense, and it's plain inconsiderate to the mod authors -- who do this stuff FOR FREE, mind you.

Totally agree with you. Wanna fast result - do it by yourself :)

Just a slight correction to cyb3r's helpful instructions: The bold parts of the strings should be preceded and followed by two underscores.

Where can I get the "switch-quickbar.png" file from? I already updated to v0.18.
Can someone share it / upload it somewhere or email it to me?
Is this the correct one? https://wiki.factorio.com/File:Switch-quickbar.png

I tried it, but I get this error message:
Path fnei/graphics/switch-quickbar.png does not match any enabled mod.

PS There should be underscores surrounding 'fnei', but this forum removes them.

https://factorio.com/download
- Download any 0.17 release (zip preferred)
- Extract it from zip
- You will find switch-quickbar.png in .\Factorio_0.17.xx\data\core\graphics
- Place it to C:\Users\USENAME\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\mods\FNEI_0.2.7\graphics

I got the switch-quickbar.png from the official zip file. When I start I still get the 'Path fnei/graphics/switch-quickbar.png does not match any enabled mod.'
It happens at the 'cropping bitmaps' step on startup.

Have you added the underscores? They get removed in the above comments by the forum, but you need to add them as part of the path name.

Yes, I did.
Here is my archive: http://wikisend.com/download/154242/FNEI_0.2.7.zip

Maybe someone can check this one and/or upload his/her archive?

the path is case sensitive, you need to write 'FNEI' in all caps. Yours is lowercase :)

Here is an edited version of 0.2.7 with just the above 4 string changes, as well as the json version update.

Case sensitive?!?!?!? What is this, 1970 Unix?

I don't know for certain, but you might actually not be too far from the truth. I am a Windows user and have only briefly dabbled in Linux, mostly Ubuntu (the user-friendliest form of Linux) and that operating system is case sensitive for EVERYTHING, with no exceptions of which I was ever made aware.

So the fact that whatever Factorio uses as its parser environment is case sensitive isn't entirely surprising to me (but I will say in your defense that if I were trying to kitbash and hack my mods into being able to use them in v0.18, I would have been just as ignorant as you that this example is also case sensitive.)
