If there was such a possibility, I would have done it already. I also use the mod and I am also uncomfortable searching. Unfortunately, factorio developers cannot offer any solutions to this problem.
P.S. Perhaps the new version has such an opportunity, but so far I have not found any information about this.

There is a small workaround ingame, that allows you to look up exact item name either in FNEI or inventory crafting section. Just enter the debug mode (F5 for me) and hover mouse over the item:
