i Show or log internal item name

Hi!

It would help me a lot, as an author of a mod that has to know about item names from other mods, if I could point users at your mod and tell them to look for the items there and either write them down or send me a debug log with the names. So either an option to display the internal name for the current item or an option to log it to a text file (or both) would be really great, and I guess it would help with other tasks like using console commands or searching using internal name search in FNEI itself.

By rummaging around in the debug functionality I found out that this can easily be done by the game itself, so nevermind :).

Oh Chirpy, do you want to keep it a secret until we start rummaging ourselves ? :-) :-(

by "debug functionality", do you mean F4 or some other debug options ?
and how can we easily copy and/or use the result ?

FNEI mod is more often used by ordinary players than by developers of other mods. Therefore, loading a mod with such a functional may have a bad effect on mod performance. Recently, and so complain that the mod is unstable with a large number of mods.

My suggestion:
1) The mod has debug mode, which I turn off by default (in core/debug.lua). It displays in the log any information about clicking on the mod interface. Therefore, you can click on the necessary prototypes/recipes and watch/copy them in the log.
2) You can create a fork mod and insert your output into the log or edit the mod to suit your needs as you like. I can help you figure it out.

Best regards, npo6ka.

@npo6ka I don't see the performance impact, but as I said, in game debugging is enough for me.

@Anson_AKB, F5 to enable debug overlay and F4 to enable show-debug-info-in-tooltips. No simple clipboard copy, I'm afraid.
