EthMod is a collection of small changes and balance tweaks, designed to enhance the Factorio experience while (mostly) maintaining the feel of vanilla.
Notably:
- Nerfs solar panels to incentivize using other power sources, without completely eliminating the use of panels as a mid-game green power source.
- Rebalanced Flamethrower turrets to make them less of an earlygame god-weapon; firing a turret for significant lengths of time is no longer basically free
- Adds Whuppee as an instrument for the programmable speaker (an obvious oversight on the devs part... ;)
- Removes that terrible, headache-inducing vignette effect on the zoomed-in map view introduced with the 1.1 update
- Adds additional fish
