Is it possible to have icons assigned by pasting things via shift click on the plate?

Especially when pasting conditions from inserter/nixie tube/lamps, that would save quite some time when setting up these big "resource display areas".
(I use to have a lamp/nixie tube right next to the plate with the same condition anyway)

For recipe pasting, it could take either the first, the one with the most items in it or - if thats possible and fancy - the "next one in the list, depending on what is already displayed" (so i.e. just cycle through the icons by shift-clicking).
