This feature has now been implemented into the vanilla game and is obsolete for Factorio Version 1.1+

Allows you to disconnect your Spidertron remote and clear it's link by pressing Ctrl + Left Click while holding the remote.

Remote will only disconnect when mouse is not over any entities.
