Direct Material Sink: Shadow Protocol
"Science is no longer bottled. It's burned."

Direct Material Sink radically transforms the Factorio 2.0 research loop. It eliminates the need to manage complex science bottle buffers and replaces them with a brutal, instantaneous demand for material throughput.

Your goal is no longer to wait for a technology to be researched. Your goal is to feed the Mega-Printer, an industrial beast that consumes raw resources at a terrifying rate.

  1. The Shadow Pack System
Forget traditional science packs. This mod introduces Shadow Packs.

Turbo Manufacturing: All packs are manufactured in 0.5 seconds.
Material Cost: They don't require complex sub-components (like engines or structures). They require massive amounts of Plate, Steel, Coal, Plastic, and Sulfur.

The Challenge: The challenge isn't the complexity of the recipe, but the logistics. Can you feed four blue copper-filled belts into a single machine without them running out in 10 seconds?

  1. The Mega Printer
The conventional laboratory has been replaced by this industrial-class machine.

Dimensions: 4x4 Tiles (Accommodates up to 16 inserters/belts).
Power Consumption: 15 MW (Constant Operation).
Contamination: 300/min. (Attracts massive attacks).
Speed: Capable of consuming hundreds of packs per minute.

  1. Accelerated Research
Time Limit: All technologies in the game have been modified to be researched in 5-second cycles.
Consequence: If your factory has the materials, you'll fly through the tech tree. If you have a bottleneck, the machine will grind to a halt.

⚠️ Compatibility Status and Roadmap
Factorio 2.0 & Space Age
This mod is native to Factorio 2.0. Space Age: The mod includes a safety code ("Safe Mode") to prevent crashes if you have the expansion enabled (it detects deleted items and replaces them). However, it is NOT balanced for the new planets (Vulcanus, Fulgora, etc.) and does not yet take advantage of the new quality mechanics.
Overhaul Mods (Krastorio 2, SE, Pyanodon)
Currently NOT SUPPORTED. The mod aggressively modifies base technology recipes. Using it in conjunction with mods that completely change the tech tree (such as Krastorio 2 or Space Exploration) may result in strange recipes or inconsistencies.

This is a Stable Beta version. If the mod receives enough community support and downloads, I will work on:
Native integration with Space Age (Planet-specific recipes).
Official compatibility with Krastorio 2.
Installation and Configuration
Install from the Mod Portal.
The Mega-Printer and Shadow Packs are unlocked from the start (Crafting Menu 'E'). Customizable Settings: You can edit the data.lua file to adjust crafting speed, and the locale/ file to change item names to your liking. (See README.txt inside the mod folder for detailed instructions.)
Developed for engineers who believe "Enough" is just a lack of ambition.
