the original mod author, nekomancer is planning to update the mod for v16, and it was originally his so i do not want to step on anyones' toes. the major issue the mod had in v15 was one of performance, and it was that, that led me to look into the code and post this fork. the cause of the performance issue is now actually resolved by changes to the base game, which...undoubtably means there is more work nekomancer will have to do to get the mod to load on v16.
All i truly did, was put in a bunch of if-then statements into his code, disabled a bunch of stuff, and gave certain values configurable spots in the config menu so i could play with values until i found what caused the lag spikes everyone complained of.
With the core issues resolved by factorio's v16 releases, it really just depends on where nekomancer wants his mod to go and what content he has in mind: it was never my intent to remove/or permanantly alter/steal any of his stuff, just...to fix a issue with a mod i felt was deserving of my time. I have other ideas for mods i'd like to focus on, and intend to release them for v16 and v17 (whenever it comes out)
