i am working on it, the current state is as today:

the mod loads ... entities can be placed, connected and nothing crashes so far, but signals get not displayed

Good news so far, the displays are working in general, the only thing missing is the icon shown for the displayed signal if it is not a virtual signal.
Currently i am just testing with SD1020.
I also tweaked it that it shows negative numbers, so a 2 digit display can display numbers between -9 and 99

due the large amount of not consistent and redundant code i am going to refactor things into some kind of display core library. I don't want to maintain this redundant stuff in the future, so boiling it down to universal functions working for every type of display.
