Adds ground based construction robots. A repackage the original mod by Klonan. Forked to fix some long-standing issues. Now with quality support Note: Quality drones only work with the default quality values. Mods that rename quality or add more qualities will not work.

no, I play alone. I had like 100 landbots in my inventory. the save is from today yes, was working with your mod just fine, albeit their path finding got a little worse, from last update.

how can I send you my save?

the tech tree was a bit underwhelming, 2 bots extra maybe a little low. per 10 would be more sensible, but I'm happy you added the inifite setting also. I need my army of landbots, I'm doing a multieplier of 40 , need to build big :)

the landbots can't build rails very well, they seem like they can't cross them, especially when stuck between 2 already built rails, like a junction

I'm fixing this right now. Was just about to update.
I had to pull back some tech tree updates, since it wasn't working as expected, and I don't personally see a need for it.

thank you for your hard work, maybe the tech treee could make em fly later on or so. there were also instances where they would not start working even when standing next toi a ghost, other times, with the normal radius set they suddenly went of far, far, far away to do a task, like to the other end of my base.

There is a Map setting to clamp the search radius to the player.
If that's turned off, then drones can be dispatched while you're also in remote view.
The setting is called "Use local search radius", and its off by default

Might be what's happening, if its turned on and you're still seeing the issue, let me know.

Also, I've left the tech for "spectral drones", which removes the collision layer, so drones would be able to travel through pretty much anything except lava and water

think most people want functional bots to build big somewhat easier, the bots can block, fully the player when the inventory is full, and one has many bots carrying something. i have run over a dozen with my car too :)

Problem with the car is you'd destroy them if you were simply driving near a drone job. Trains would have the same problem.

And collision with the player causes both the bot and the player to not be able to move as soon as a drone is dispatched to do a job.

At this point, I want them to function similarly to construction bots, just available earlier

Didn't know you could "turn off" the tech tree.
In that case, you could always cheat them on probably.
Tech name is "spectral-drones" or without the s on the end. I don't remember

mm, maybe then just have the spectral thing as a mod setting too,

as for the car, they set off quite irregulary, I have learned to turn them off while driving to a location.

I'm happ you fixed the remote view thing, bacuese that was annoying, suddely bots coming from nowhere, triggering biters if unlucky
