g Fuel consumption

The actual fuel consumption should be much higher. Probably even higher than speed increase. It takes more fuel to increase and maintain speed from 200 to 300 km/h than from 100 to 200 km/h due to air drag. From Wikipedia about the air drag: "A car cruising on a highway at 50 mph (80 km/h) may require only 10 horsepower (7.5 kW) to overcome aerodynamic drag, but that same car at 100 mph (160 km/h) requires 80 hp (60 kW)."

Basically 2 times the speed takes 8 times more power. So if the speed is increased 8 times, then power would increase 512 times! It's pretty ridiculous. If we take into account less cargo space and that acceleration power is actualy shown in game as 15MW (it's about 25 times the base). There should be no 600% efficiency. Matching acceleration power with fuel consumption would be a nice compomise.

Now, with 3 stacks of solid fuel, which is 1,800 MJ at top speed of 272 km/h - the unmodded train without any cargo wagons would travel about 227 km before refueling.

Now, the bullet train at 2,176 km/h and 2.5 MW of fule consumption - that would be 435 km before refueling which is actualy much more than the base train!

With the bullet train at 2,176 km/h and 15MW of fuel consumption - that would be 72 km before refueling which is much more plausible considering the increase in speed.

I propose to remove that ridiculous 600% efficiency and match acceleration power with fuel consumption.

This mod isn't meant to provide an extension to Factorio as a "true-to-life" physical simulation.

Still, it shouldn't be too overpowered, it's just not logical that superfast train can travel longer distances on the same amount of fuel as base train.
