I don't know why the devs, despite we paying for the DLC, did not create standalone versions of many of the space age stuff

And one is the demolishers. Especially the Baby and the King ones you created:))) They are AMAZING!

So... i want to ask now hoping it's possible: any way to make them standalone? the demolishers?

Any way to create a system where they are is completly random so it servese as a "need train to avoid it".

And the last one: due to how massive they are, i am talking about the king size, and on the ideea of need train to avoid, their teritory to be lava. Heck, even create lava if they leave because we angered them. Aka an excuse to "not have anything" in large chuncks of the surface.

Thanks for the kind words — I'm glad you like the Baby and King demolishers 🙂

About standalone demolishers

If you mean running demolishers without the Space Age DLC, that would currently be difficult.

Demolishers rely heavily on Space Age assets and mechanics.
Making them work without the DLC would require recreating a large part of the system.

Technically it would be possible to create a similar creature, but it would end up being something quite different from the original Space Age demolisher.

For that reason, the current design assumes Space Age.

About using them as obstacles instead of enemies to defeat

That idea is actually already part of the design of one of my mods.

In Manis Boss Demolisher, demolishers are not just enemies to defeat.
They are designed more like long-term hazards that influence where and how you build.

After you encounter demolishers, rocket launches may occasionally export them to other planets.
There they can appear as:

  • King-size demolishers
They defend their territory and usually stay within it.

  • Standard demolishers
Similar to Breeding Demolisher, they may occasionally migrate between territories.

In practice this often means they become areas you route trains and infrastructure around, rather than enemies you always try to eliminate.

About leaving lava behind

Technically that is possible.

However, if large areas permanently turn into lava, the planet could eventually lose too much buildable space and become difficult or impossible to progress on.

So if something like that were implemented, it would probably need a softer or more limited version.

Still, it's an interesting concept.

About mod combinations

If you enjoy gameplay where you sometimes avoid enemies or push through dangerous territory, the following mod combination is something I designed to work well together
(and it's also the setup I personally play with):

  • Quality for Biters!
  • BreedingDemolisher
  • TrueFulgoraConqueror
  • Manis Boss Demolisher

If the goal is to push even further toward a playstyle where players must navigate around large hazardous areas, ideas like lava-style territory might be worth exploring further.

I'll think about it as well.
