g Placing regular rails by hand mistakenly tries to place wooden rails instead

So we have two sets of rails, the cheap wooden ones and the regular metal ones. Currently if I attempt to place the metal ones in a straight line the game will attempt to create a ghost for the wooden rails and refuse to build them. I can still place a single section of metal rail, and if I shift+click to make a ghost rail it will place the correct ghost, but the bots won't make it. (For some reason the nanobot mod can place the correct rails in this case.)

I asked TheSAguy to have a look. The wooden rail items seam to just place regular rails. The wooden rail prototypes are missing in the code.

I'm aslo seeing this same issue. Interestingly it seems I can place rails at some angles and not others.

I think the simple fix would be to just make an alternative rail recipe. (So change the wooden rail, to just be a alternative recipe and not a new entity.) The idea is to have rail that uses a lot of wood, or later, regular rail that uses concrete.

Having this issue too. It works if I pick a stack of rail in my inventory and place them solo (not by connecting with existing rail). If I try any of these it gives the error that I need wooden rail or places wooden rail ghost:
- pick a stack of normal rail on my inventory and connect with existing rail (with the green arrow)
- pick a stack of normal rail on my inventory and place ghost by holding shift
- copy&paste existing rail

What's super weird:
If i go into remote view, open the set ghost cursor window ("E"), select straight rail (click on it and click the button in the bottom right) and then connect to an existing rail and build a curve, it places the first couple as normal rails but then switches to wooden rail.
