I honestly don't know if this is possible but making it so the "heat generated" around something that produces heat ex. any furnace, heat pipe, or nuclear reactor. Basic the assemblers don't produce as much "heat". But for example if the furnaces are making plates or x the area slowly melts into dirt then possibly grass, But when the furnaces are done the area slowly gets covered in snow again. Its more visual then anything but world make this winter also look cooler. no pun intended. I know burned earth has this mechanic of if you pick stuff up, the terrain changes and slowly changes back to normal terrain.
