With Industrial Revolution mod it is not possible to research tier 2 bucket wheel excavators because in its requirements there is an "advanced-material-processing-2" in the prerequisites list. I think it must be a compatibility issue with that mod.
I've overlooked that IR removes "advanced-material-processing-2". Mk-II Excavators will now require Chemical-Science-Research instead with v0.5.6
