I updated elmi's better-electric-pole mod for personal use over the last major versions of factorio and figured someone else might enjoy it as well. He didn't specify a licence and doesnt seem to have been active since 2015 - i gladly pass this back over to him if he shows up again :)

What can you do with it?

• Research it: unlocks separatly after Electric energy distribution 1 and requires 40 red & green science
• Balanced recipe: requires a medium power pole and some copper and green circuits
• Better but not overpowered: Supply-area 9x9, wire reach 11 (medium pole 7x7 + 9 reach).
• fits neatly into vanilla factorio. Substations are still viable alternatives!
