Research and develop rechargeable batteries. aimed for mid game initial setup but intended for late game energy distribution as an alternative to just shoving power lines everywhere you go. will result in separate electricity grids each place you use it in, if that's a thing you're worried about. since they're ultimately reusable, currently decided to go a little overboard with the material components to make them. however all of the values for everything is wack. this thing is still in testing. mostly just being uploaded right now so a friend can help test some of it out.
inspiration (as well as maybe an asset here or there, nothing ridiculous, I did a lot of work on this myself. i'm just not an artist, if the battery icons haven't shown that enough) taken from BatteryPacks, ModularChargePacks, and maybe another mod that i seem to have removed from my list and can't remember the name of. pretty much any that generally uses the same concept of having batteries be an active source of power, whether for actual base usage, or for vehicles / equipment grids.
additional notes:
also includes tier 2 for Accumulators and Solar panels; which had to move accumulators into a new row in the crafting menu.
reasoning behind adding a new tier was to help bridge the gap between accumulators and the machines to discharge electricity from the batteries. the gap between them was considered too large of a jump, so an intermediary was introduced. the gaps, by the way, are nothing crazy. modest 2 to 3 times efficiency.
includes 2 tiers for machines that charge and discharge the batteries. 4 total.
includes 3 tiers of batteries.
might - MIGHT - include a new set of unique modules only for the charging stations so they can keep up with the tier 3 batteries. however the decision on this WILL require testing to be done. so it might be some time until this decision is finalized.
