Avatars


This mod allows players to create and remotely control Avatars. Avatars act like players, with a few minor exceptions. The mod also includes a few custom entities to control and create the Avatars.

b Dead Avatar dont respawn

Hi!
if my avatar dies i switched back to my character at the control center

when i press "control" on the dead avatar this message pop up:
The mod Avatars (0.5.18) caused a non-recoverable error.
Please report this error to the mod author.

if I press "refresher" my avatar name reset totaly... i though when an avatar dies it respawn a new automaticly at the "avatar remote deployment unit" with the same Logistic requests

maybe if possible you should make a circuit connection to "avatar remote deployment unit" so constant combinator signals goes to the logistic request of the new avatar or something

Im using modified SE mod file to bypass SE respawn sequence

Just trying to understand the scenario:

  • You control an Avatar spawn from an avatar remote deployment unit (ARDU)
  • That avatar dies
  • You are back to your normal character in the control center
  • The UI is already open and you refresh it

From there you still see the old, dead, avatar name, and when you try to control it get a crash?

Is this with a modified SE so they don't interrupt the respawn (mentioned in the other thread)? Or are you getting this to happen even with Vanilla + Avatars?
