I sync my saves back and forth and this really helps with reducing how much I have to send.

starting my testmap with maybe 60k+ chunks for the first time (and only for the first time) with your mod took several minutes. maybe you could add a message "cleaning up decorations, please stand by" or similar.
but the result is overwhelming: the savefile is now reduced from 250MB to 95MB, and autosaving now only takes 5 seconds instead of 20+ seconds.
