If the Quickbar is not enough, create toolbars that can hold items and tools and be positioned anywhere you like.

i [On hold] Factoriopedia support

(updated a month ago)
  • Pipette doesn't work (but there is already a thread about it).
  • Factoriopedia shortcut doesn't work (I'm guessing because it's alt+click by default wich is craft stack in toolbars, but you can rebind it).
  • Maybe allow customization for crafting hotkeys. I'm using cursor craft, so I don't need them, but If factoriopedia will work, I would like to be able to unbind a craft stack key so there wouldn't be any conflicts.

Less important, just thinking out loud:

  • It would be nice if sections where draggable in edit mode like logistic groups (to reorder them, maybe even move out one toolbar and drop to another. Up and down buttons in this case can be removed).
  • Drag and drop to reorder items would be nice too.
  • If I only have one section - title is missing. If it's intentional - maybe it should only work like that if title is blank.
  • Folding the whole toolbar makes it too small. Maybe allow naming the toolbar to so when I fold it the title would still be visible (and I could still leave it blank). Or at least make it so folding toolbar retain it's width.

There is no drag and drop but pick and place like in the quickbar.

If you change the shortcut for factoriopedia it just works with toolbars?

I know, initial suggestion was to add drag and drop as well (like in logistic groups). That way it would be much easier, for example, to reorder items.

No.

Currently there is no API for opening Factoriopedia

missunderstandings ? ALT+Click on a item opens factoriopedia , ALT+Click from toolbar craft an item , double asign same shortcut, so i understand the "problem"

Factoriopedia doesn't just work. It must be programmed by me.

the implementation to open it , yes of course. but the hotkeys are doubled. open factoriopedia ( vanilla game setting ) = hold ALT and click an Item ( game hotkey ). in your toolbar mod ist hold ALT and click an Item used for craft a Item. they uses the same hotkeys ?! :)

same hotkey. i dont know how factorio handle that, but usual your mod consum the input und marked it as handled, so no other react on the hotkey

But only over a slot. When you change a hotkey for factoriopedia that doesn't clash with hardcover ones it still won't be opened. I don't see a reason now to change a hotkey till it's possible to open factoriopedia by API.
